NASCAR has been brought into the forefront of the topic of racial oppression equality in the United States thanks to Bubba Wallace, the only black driver in the sport, questioned the confederate flag being let into races and events.
Days later, the sport decided to ban the flag, which has fallen under criticism by many. It appears one of those opposed to the rule change went as far as to leave a noose in the stall of Wallace’s garage the night before the GEICO 500 in Talladega Monday.
In solidarity with Wallace following the incident, drivers and crews pushed his car to the front of the start line prior to the race, moving him to tears.

The incident is under investigation by the FBI to locate the person(s) responsible.
