Antonio Brown most likely couldn’t land on an NFL team’s roster if he tried, but the former Buccaneers WR has bigger ambitions, and it includes ownership.
The disgruntled former All-Pro notoriously stormed off the field late during last season, ending his tenure with the Bucs and possibly the NFL entirely. Since then, Brown has been spending most of his time out in Los Angeles, notably hanging with rapper Kanye West. The two were spotted sitting together at Super Bowl LVI just a month ago.
With the Denver Broncos up for sale, Brown has expressed his ambition to purchase the team, and is, according to him, “very serious” and “working towards” purchasing the franchise.
Of course the two biggest hurdles to ownership for Brown and Kanye would be the price and the approval process.
The Broncos went up for sale in early February and the team is projected to fetch $4 billion. Brown and Kanye don’t have that money combined, but could lead an investor group that would be able to afford the pruchase.
Furthermore, the two would have to be approved by the 31 other owners before a purchase can be made.
