The Seattle Seahawks couldn’t ask for a better start.
Rashid Shaheed took the opening kickoff and returned it 95 yards for a touchdown to give the Seahawks a 7-0 lead. 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro tried to trip Shaheed, but failed to slow him and drew a penalty that was enforced on the extra point.
The Seahawks acquired Saheed from the Saints in exchange for a fourth and fifth round picks at the trade deadline.
Now, in his first return in his first playoff game, he has his first playoff touchdown.
