REPORT: Chicago Bears Are Trading DT Gervon Dexter Sr. To The Atlanta Falcons

The Chicago Bears are trading defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. to the Atlanta Falcons, his agent Drew Rosenhaus told Adam Schefter.

The Falcons are sending back defensive back Clark Phillips and a fifth-round pick to Chicago.

Granted, Dexter is in the final year of his contract, but he was also an important piece of the Bears’ defense as a starter.

Dexter also plays at a position where the Bears have several question marks after a season in which the team struggled with its pass-rush and run defense.

Chicago finished tied for the seventh-fewest sacks and owned the sixth-worst run defense in the NFL in 2025.
