Chris Simms Disses Tua Tagovailoa, Says Jarrett Stidham Is More Talented Than Him

During the 2020 NFL Draft, there was a lot of discussion about the New England Patriots trading up for a quarterback fill the shoes left by Tom Brady, who departed New England for Tampa Bay.

But the Draft passed and the Patriots did not draft a quarterback, leaving many to wonder what their plan was at quarterback? Well, apparently it’s Jarrett Stidham, who the Patriots drafted in the 4th round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

And according to NBC Sports Chris Simms, it was the right decision because Stidham was better than any quarterback from the 2020 NFL Draft not named Joe Burrow. Yes, that includes Tua Tagovailoa, who was drafted No. 5 overall by the Miami Dolphins.

“(Stidham is) more talented than Tua,” Simms said. “(Tua) is a creation of Alabama. You don’t think Jarrett Stidham, or like Justin Herbert would have set the world on fire if they got to play with four, first-round receivers and two, first-round tackles?”

That’s a bold take.
