Dak’s Prescott’s Passer Rating vs Eagles Would’ve Been Higher If He Threw Every Pass Straight Into The Ground

Dak Prescott emerged as a star last season, racking up numbers never seen before by a rookie quarterback. That was of course with Ezekiel Elliott behind him and one of the best offensive lines in NFL history in front of him.

With Elliott now suspended and the line decimated due to injuries, last season looks all but a mirage for the Cowboys star QB.

Prescott went just 18-31 (58.06%) against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday night, throwing for a mere 145 yards with 0 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, the most of any game in his career.

But just how bad was the game for Dak?

Prescott would have finished the game with a higher passer rating if he took every snap and threw it straight into the dirt.

Thats right, throwing every pass an incomplete would have resulted in a 39.6 rating, the staple metric achieved by calculated using a player’s passing attempts, completions, yards, touchdowns, and interceptions. Prescott finished with a passer rating of 30.4.
