The Oklahoma Sooners have a storied football program. They’ve been known to have their traditional uniform style but thanks to Nike, that style is getting an upgrade.
The Oklahoma Sonners unveiled their new uniforms on Tuesday and for the first time, “Oklahoma”, not “Sooners”, will be across the front of the jersey.
In addition to the upgrade in the jersey and pants style, the Sooners also upgraded their helmets:

In addition to the new look, the Sooners also paid tribute to their rich history with “47 Straight” written on the neckline. The tribute, of course is for the 47 straight victories the Sooners had between 1953 and 1957.
