To say Patrick Mahomes got paid is an understatement.
The Chiefs star QB and face of the NFL signed a deal today that will keep him under center in Kansas City through 2031, but the figure was what fans were waiting for.
Not too long after, the number of $450,000,000 was released, blowing Mike Trouts previous sports record of 426 million out of the water.
But it didn’t stop there. With incentives, Mahomes’ deal is worth up to 503 million, eclipsing the half-billion dollar mark.
UPDATE: Patrick Mahomes’ 10-year contract extension will be worth up to $503M, per @RapSheet, @TomPelissero

And that doesn’t even include the $7 million+ in endorsements Mahomes will make per year over the course of the next decade.
