Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Kenny Pickett will be the starter as Hurts remains in concussion protocol
Hurts suffered a concussion during the first quarter of the Eagles’ Week 16 loss against the Commanders. With Hurts missing the majority of the game, the Commanders rallied to pull off an upset that all but eliminated Philadelphia’s hopes of getting the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
Pickett led the Eagles on five scoring drives in Hurts’ absence, but Philadelphia came up short after Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels led Washington on a successful two-minute drive that was capped off by a game-winning touchdown pass to Jamison Crowder.
The loss delayed the Eagles clinching the NFC East but they can however, clinch the NFC East divsion title again if they defeat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. If they do so, it’ll be behind Kenny Pickett.
