The New England Patriots are headed to the Super Bowl. But controversy is hovering over the organization. According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the NFL has found out that 11 out of 12 Patriots footballs used in Sunday’s AFC title game were under-inflated by 2 lbs each.
The NFL has not yet confirmed these reports but if true it would be interesting to see how the NFL handles this situation. Although the Patriots won the game decisively, it still does not justify the situation. It might not have had as much of an outcome on the game but there’s still room for concern as the integrity of the NFL has yet again being taken under a dark cloud.
