FOXBORO, MA – Tom Brady was expected to start the Patriot’s second preseason game against the Bears Thursday night, but those plans were cut short (pun intended) when the QB reportedly sliced his right thumb with a pair of scissors.
Brady was sent home instead of playing, in what was one of 4 opportunities Brady has to get on the field during his 4-game suspension. Have it be known that it is standard practice for the team to let players whom are not playing in preseason games to leave the stadium.
Whispered surfaced when he didn’t take the field for warmups and was seen leaving the stadium in regular clothes, it was clear something was amiss. According to CSNNE.com, Brady was trying to pry something from the bottom of his cleat prior to taking the field and sustained the cut.
Whether or not the cut needs stitches is still unknown.
