REPORT: Former NFL CB Buster Skrine On The Run From Police

Police in Canada are reportedly “on the hunt” for former NFL cornerback Buster Skrine.

Last August, Skrine allegedly defrauded banks in Canada for more than $100,000. He was arrested on 15 total charges, including “fraud and possession of property obtained by a crime.”

And now, according to TMZ Sports, Skrine recently missed a court date regarding his fraud case.

Skrine has been out on bail since April 12th and the Durham Regional Police Service noticed the GPS function for his ankle bracelet went off-line shortly after he got out.

The police are obviously trying to get a hold of Skrine. If they do, he’ll face additional charges, such as failing to comply with his release order.

Skrine, a former fifth-round pick out of Chattanooga, started his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns in 2011. During the 2015 offseason, he signed a four-year, $25 million contract with the New York Jets.

After his time in the Big Apple came to an end, Skrine spent time on the Chicago Bears, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers. He racked up 590 tackles, 88 pass break-ups, 10 interceptions and six forced fumbles in 158 career games.

Skrine earned over $40.3 million during his NFL career.
