Jason Pierre-Paul is active Sunday for the first time since the final game of last season, after a whirlwind of an offseason complete with Pierre-Paul blowing off a third of his hand after a firework accident on the 4th of July.
Pierre-Paul is making his return earlier than expected, in fact many doubted if the feared DE would even be back this season with the Giants.
During practices, his Giants teammates say he hasn’t lost a step, but we’ll see come game time at 4:05 when the Giants take on the Buccaneers.
He has been fitted with a strange looking glove that has four finger slots and will function just as any other glove.
Here are pictures released of the glove: (Click images to enlarge)
Pierre-Paul’s hand was seen up-close with high resolution photos for the first time since the accident a few weeks back. Here is a photo for comparison with the glove.
