According to the Wall Street Journal, Dwyane Wade’s name is the most misspelled name in sports simply because it’s misspelled.
This led talk show host Jimmy Kimmel to see how many people in Los Angeles could spell it correctly. If you were able to spell the misspelled name correctly, Kimmel would give you $100.
Even though it seems like an easy way to win $100, it was apparent that many people spelled “Dwyane” and “Wade” completely different.
In the end, when you need a word spelled correctly, just call a Spelling Bee contestant.
