Arkansas State RB Scores 70-Yard TD After Being Tackled On Defender But Never Touching The Ground

One of the craziest plays of the college football season occurred  during Tuesday night’s Arkansas State Red Wolves and Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns.

Red Wolves running back Michael Gordon took the hand-off and looked to be tackled on a decent gain but he wasn’t.  Gordon was on top of a defender, never touched the ground, therefore, was never ruled down. So he got up and took off for a 70-yard touchdown while the Ragin’ Cajuns stood around and were shocked.

That’s why coaches always urge it’s players to play ill the whistle blows.
