It all started with an Instagram Instagram post by Shaquille O’Neal and its spiraled into one of the most heated “beefs” in recent memory between two of the greatest players to ever play the game.
Last Sunday, Shaq sparked an interesting debate with his followers on Instagram that the all-time Lakers squad (Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor, Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) would beat the best five Chicago Bulls (Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant and Derrick Rose) in history…by 50 points.
What that basically means is that Shaq really doesn’t think the Bulls would stance a chance, even with the greatest player of all-time, Michael Jordan. And with all due respect to Jordan, Shaq might be right, just looking at the all-time Lakers, even the great Michael Jordan would have a tough time making the case for his Bulls.
But it didn’t take long for a former Bulls great to respond as Pippen took a championship-like shot to the Big Diesel with a throwback shot of himself and Jordan, letting the worl dknow that they won six championships, “twice the amount you claimed while in LA..”
And it didn’t take long for Shaq to respond by calling Pippen Michael Jordan’s “sidekick”:
