Troy Aikman has been working for FOX Sports for 15 years and has been their lead NFL analyst since 2002. The respect that his colleagues and peers have for him is immense, he is also widely regarded as being as honest as they come, especially in interviews.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback ripped his employer, FOX Sports for their decision to hire former ESPN personalty, Skip Bayless:

“To say I’m DISAPPOINTED in the hiring of Skip Bayless would be an enormous understatement. clearly, jamie horowitz [fox sports president of national networks] and i have a difference of opinion when it comes to building a successful organization. i believe success is ACHIEVED by acquiring and DEVELOPING talent, respected and credible individuals, none of which applies to skip bayless.”

Now, there is some bad blood between Bayless and Aikman that date back to the 1990s, when Bayless released a book “Hell Bent” on the Dallas Cowboys of the 90s. In the book, Bayless made a claim that Aikman was gay.

A claim that many people in the Dallas media thought was unfair and unethical.

Two years ago, Aikman addressed his feelings on Bayless saying, “I’m upset about it because it was made up and there was nothing accurate about anything that was insinuated. And he did it, as he does everything, just for attention.”

I’d hate to be that awkward guy that is in the break room with Bayless and Aikman.
