BEREA, Ohio – The low-awaited return of one of the most exciting and promising young wide receivers in the NFL will have to be put on hold.
The Cleveland Browns announced Thursday afternoon that Josh Gordon will enter an in-patient rehabilitation facility.
Gordon was scheduled to play in his first regular-season game since December 2014 against the Patriots on Oct. 9, the same game which QB Tom Brady is to return as well from suspension. Both Grodon and Brady’s suspension warranted a four game sit out of this season.
Gordon released the following statement through the Browns:

Early reports infer that the WR’s future with the Browns is in dire doubt.
Hope is that Josh Gordon gets the help he needs. Hard to imagine him playing for the Browns again.
