Panthers Try To Catch Seahawks Off Guard With Derrick Anderson On First Play, Who Throws INT

The first play of Sunday Night Football has fans everywhere dumbfounded.

With a perfectly healthy Cam Newton, the Panthers used Derrick Anderson on the first play from scrimmage against the Seahawks in their own building. He threw a pick on that very play.

It was later confirmed that Newton sat out the first play due to a coaches decision after he broke a “minor team rule.”

Newton entered the game on the second possession and well, did not throw any interceptions.
