BREAKING: Paul George Traded To The Oklahoma City Thunder

After rumors that Paul George would be headed to perhaps Boston, LA, or Cleveland, along with the Thunder having a difficult time attracting big-name free agents due to Russell Westbrook’s style of play, the exact opposite has just happened for both instances.

According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelborne, the Indiana Pacers have traded Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Shelborne also noted the trade includes sending Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis to the Pacers.

George notified the Pacers that he intends to leave the team following this upcoming season, leaving the Pacers little option but to trade their star, or watch him walk and receive nothing.

Contrary to almost everyone’s belief, the Pacers have apparently chosen the Thunder as the most suitable trade partners for the 4-time all-star.

George will in all likelihood be a “rental player” for one year until joining the Lakers next offseason. Paul has alluded to Los Angeles as his preferred destination when he becomes a free agent in 2018.
