Paul George is still getting settled in Oklahoma City, but he could’ve been headed to the Bay Area if the Indiana Pacers had their way.
The Pacers reportedly offered the Golden State Warriors Paul George and in return they received one half of the Splash Brothers, Klay Thompson. Giving up a core piece of a team that’s won two of the last three titles for which would likely be one year of Paul George would not be smart trade for Golden State.
What Paul George and I discussed: Indiana — not Golden State — made that offer. Warriors said no. And that was the end. https://t.co/ZdQxr77Ib9

Luckily, the Golden State Warriors are a smartly run organization.
With that said, a duo of Klay Thompson and Myles Turner would help ease the pain of losing Paul George for Indiana Pacers fans but instead they’ll settle for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.
Both are young and can still grow into very good players, and with the talent-less Eastern Conference, they still have a good shot at the playoffs.
Paul George with the Golden State Warriors would’ve been fun to see but we’ll also settle for George and reigning-MVP Russell Westbrook.
