Cowboys Won’t Bring Lucky Whitehead Back After Cutting Him For Crime He Never Committed

Lucky Whitehead was cut by the Dallas Cowboys Monday after a warrant for his arrest was issued for shoplifting in Virginia on June 22.

Less than 24 hours later, all charges against Whitehead were dropped after Prince William County Police realized their actual suspect had been using Whitehead’s identity.

Though Whitehead was seemingly cut because of the incident, per ESPN’s NFL Live, the Cowboys say they do not intend to bring him back despite the news today, citing the decision was made based on his on-the-field performance.
