Pastor Steven Furtick just signed than equivalent of a max-deal in sports, announcing an agreement with Lakewood Church in Texas to preach alongside evangelical superstar Joel Osteen, forming essentially a preaching dream team.
The contract, worth $110 million over the next six years, is the richest in history for a pastor.
In an unprecedented move, Furtick let his decision during a two-hour televised special on TBN Thursday night, dubbed “The Decision.”
“I’m going to take my talents to Houston and join Joel’s legendary squad. I wish Elevation the best of luck in the seasons to come, and hope they can find someone as ripped and godly as me.”
