Jeffrey Clayton Riegel died earlier this month on August 18, and listed in his obituary, was his dying wish of having 8 Eagles players serve as pallbearers at his burial to “let him down one last time.”
His family made it happen. (Sort of).
Unable to get Eagles players up to his burial Thursday, his family did their best to fulfill his final request by having those serving as pallbearers wear Eagles jerseys.
The family described it as laughter and tears, saying Riegel’s sense of humor truly gave him the last laugh!
