While Rob Gronkowski is feared for his pass catching abilities by defensive coordinators everywhere, his role of blocking might be just as scary for opposing defenders.
Robert Alford found that out the hard way Sunday night. The Falcons cornerback could be seen literally allowing Brandon Cooks of the Patriots to score to avoid getting trucked by Gronk, the lead blocker on the play.

Perhaps this has something to do with what happened earlier in the game, where Alford picked off Tom Brady, only to get crushed by the Patriots tight end during his run back.
