Minnesota HS Pulls Off Amazing Comeback With Three TDs In 59 Seconds

This was a type of comeback you couldn’t pull of in Madden.

Maple Grove trailed St. Michael-Albertville 27-10 until the final minute in the state Class 6A football quarterfinals Thursday night at Park Center High School. In the span of a minute Crimson quarterback Curtis Haugen threw two touchdown passes to Joe Raymon, the team recovered two onside kicks and Evan Hull scored the winning touchdown with four seconds to play to give the Crimson the improbable win.

Coach Matt Lombardi turned this sequence of events into a teachable moment for his players and the public, stating, “Just like we drew it up. It just shows as bad as things might seem for you, you can never give up. You have to keep playing and hope things fall in your favor.”
