Nobody’s draft stock has risen more than that of Penn State RB Saquon Barkley.
Barkley showed up to the NFL Combine and put up some insane numbers, running a 4.40, benched pressing 225-pounds 29 times, and had a 41-yard inch vertical leap, the highest by a running back at the combine since Daniel Lasco had a 41.5-inch in 2016.
As a result, Barkley is in the conversation to be the No. 1 overall pick in April’s 2018 Draft. He would be the first back taken 1st overall since 1995, when the Bengals selected Ki-Jana Carter, who ironically, was also out of Penn State.
The numbers were so insane that NFL execs and coaches are hoping they can get a shot at drafting him but this particular unknown assistant coach would do extreme danger to himself to land the Penn State star:
NFL assistant coach on Saquon Barkley: “I would punch myself in the nuts many, many, many times to be able to draft him.”

If you’re someone who’s been hit in the balls before, then you know just how badly this coach wants Barkley.
