Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has become one of the biggest stars.
According to the Washington Post’s Rick Masse and Joe Heim, Daniels has the top-selling jersey across all sports since the start of the new year.
In addition, Daniels has held the top-selling NFL jersey on Fanatics this season. The Commanders and Daniels have also been the top-selling team and jersey since the start of the playoffs, per the Washington Post.
On the apparel website BreakingT, Washington’s sales have surged by 463 percent from last season and team merchandise sales have skyrocketed by 4,129 percent since clinching a playoff spot a month ago, company president Jamie Mottram told Maese and Heim.
Jayden Daniels lead the Washington Commanders on a playoff run that included a Wild Card victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where Daniels threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns and then a shocking up set of the No. 1 seed in the NFC – the Detroit Lions, where Daniels threw for 300 yards and two touchdowns.
The Commanders season ended last week in the NFC Championship Game following a 55-23 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but the future looks bright in Washington.
