Knicks Trade Kristaps Porzingis To Mavericks As Part Of 6-Player Mega Trade

It was reported Thursday that Knicks star Kristaps Porzingus was unhappy in New York. Just hours later and the 7-footer in on his way to Dallas, who the Knicks played just last night.

The Knicks have agreed in principle to trade the team’s 2015 4th overall pick in Porzingus, Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr to the Mavericks in return for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith Jr. and DeAndre Jordan.

The trade opens up huge amounts of cap space for the Knicks who are currently 10-40 at the bottom of the East.


It’s likely they’ll have the capacity to land two star free agents along with their top draft pick this summer.

With Kevin Durant rumored to considering opting out after this season, could KD pair up with Kyrie in the big apple? Only time will tell.
