Former big league slugger and future Hall of Famer David “Big Papi” Ortiz was shot in his native Dominican Republic while at a bar Sunday.
Footage of the attack has been released via the establishment’s security cameras and it’s apparent by the video that what was originally thought to be a simple robbery seems to appear more like a coordinated attack on Ortiz.
MLB star David Ortiz, the first baseman to play 20 seasons, has been reportedly shot in Dominican Republic.

Fortunately, Ortiz was rushed to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. He is currently in stable condition.
