Steven Jackson Received Random Drug Test After Signing 1-Day Contract To Retire With Rams

The NFL can’t be serious.

Before training camp started on Monday, Steven Jackson signed a one-day contract with the Los Angeles Rams so he could retire as a member of the the team he played nine years for.

Jackson hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2015, but the league apparently doesn’t know that.

The former running back tweeted on Thursday that he was selected to take a random drug test for the NFL after he signed his one-day contract.

Jackson’s former Rams teammates in James Laurinaitis and Chris Long were shocked:

Asking an NFL player who signed a 1-day contract to retire with his former team is yet another confusing and idiotic thing the NFL has done.
