Dolphins Player Says Ref Told Him To “Stay Off Tom” After Perfectly Legal Hit On Tom Brady

With a number of marquee quarterbacks already out for an extended period of time and even the season, the NFL is seemingly doing all it can to protect the big name QBs they have left.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Raekwon McMillan told a reporter this week that he was told to refrain from hitting Brady by a referee during the Dolphins’ game against the Patriots Sunday.

Raekwon McMillan told me when he hit Brady on Sunday – a perfectly legit hit – the referee told him "Stay off Tom." NFL still protecting those QBs amid several early season injuries to marquee ones

The officiating has suspect to say the least over the first two games of the season.

J.J. Watt of the Texans even mentioned that an official told him after a play that he was held but didn’t call it.

Numerous blown calls from other games may have very affected the outcomes.
