After the Panthers signed P.J. Walker from the XFL Monday to backup Teddy Bridgewater, Kyle Allen’s fate seemed to be sealed.
That was exactly the case as the Panthers backup has been traded to the Washington Redskins in return for a 5th round pick.
Kyle Allen has been traded to the #Redskins, per a source. Another QB alongside Dwayne Haskins.

Allen started for the Panthers most of last season in relief for the injured Cam Newton, leading many to believe he could be the future franchise QB for the team after an impressive start.

Allen finished the year completing 62% of his passes for 3,322 yards, adding in 17 TDs and 16 INTs.
He’ll presumably be the second stringer to Dwayne Haskins in D.C..
