Milwaukee Bucks Boycott Playoff Game Following Jacob Blake Police Shooting

The Milwaukee Bucks and the Orlando Magic were set to take the floor in Orlando for tonight Game 5 of their first round playoff matchup, but following the events involving police and Jacob Blake earlier this week, that won’t happen.

The Bucks are boycotting their playoff games Wednesday in protest of the actions of Kenosha police after they shot an unarmed man 7 times in the back. The Magic followed suit by first appearing on the floor for warmups, but leaving shortly after.

The video, which has gone viral, shows Jacob Blake, who allegedly was at the scene breaking up a fight between two women, walk away from police after being detained only to be shot 7 times upon entering his car.

The NBA has take a stance on promoting the Black Lives Matter movement and helping end police brutality and racism oppression, all starting with the police murder of George Floyd in late May.
