Saints’ Taysom Hill Beats Out Jameis Winston, Will Start At QB For Saints

Drew Brees suffered cracked ribs and a collapsed lung during their Week 10 game Sunday against the 49ers, and though it appeared as if it was now Jameis Winston’s time for a mini revenge tour, Taysom Hill is getting the nod.

In Brees’ absence, Hill has been named the starter for the team game against the Falcons on Sunday.

Saints’ QB Taysom Hill will start Sunday vs. the Falcons, per source. Hill took all the starter reps at practice this week. Jameis Winston will be the backup.

The move makes sense in terms that the Saints paid Hill a ton of money and need to figure out if he will be their QB of the future once Brees retires. Perhaps now is the perfect time for an audition.

Jameis will be the backup on Sunday.
