Jon Gruden Releases Statement Following His Decision To Resign As Raiders Head Coach

Jon Gruden’s tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders is over after a report surfaced which included emails that were sent by Gruden over a seven year period that included racist, homophobic and mysognisitc rhetoric.

The news is shocking even though many people believed this was how it was going to end. The team has already named an interim coach, Rich Bisacci. Following the news of his resignation, Gruden released this statement:

Gruden was in year four of a 10-year deal with the Raiders, he will be leaving the Raiders with an overall record of 22-31 with no playoff appearances. The Raiders are currently 3-2 and will travel to Denver to face the Broncos in Week 6.
