FOX Sports Has Five Replacements In Mind To Take Troy Aikman’s Role In 2022

With Troy Aikman leaving FOX Sports for ESPN, the network will need a new No. 1 color analyst along side Troy Aikman and they are thinking big.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post has a list of potential candidates to replace Aikman. They include an internal candidate and current No. 2 Fox analyst Greg Olsen and several others who don’t work for the network right now.

Marchand lists Rams coach Sean McVay, former Saints coach Sean Payton, former Saints quarterback (and current NBC analyst) Drew Brees, and former Fox broadcast (and current 49ers G.M.) John Lynch as potential Aikman replacements.

Whoever ends up getting the important job will be getting a nice payday from FOX.
