The trend of highly-touted college prospects sitting out games, workouts and the NFL combine in efforts to avoid injury has been met with severe criticism in recent years, but this will make you understand a little of the opposing argument.
Projected top-five draft pick David Ojabo suffered an achilles tendon tear during his Pro Day this weekend, an injury that will cost the young man millions, if not tens of millions of dollars.
Granted NFL teams have every right to want to fully evaluate prospects that they will invest these tens of millions in, but what has people up in arms regarding Ojabo’s situation is the lack of empathy on the field after the injury.
