NFL Commissioner Roger Godell confirmed the league’s Sunday Ticket package will be leaving DirecTV for a streaming service starting in 2023.
In an interview with CNBC, Goodell said he “clearly believes” the league will be moving to a streaming service.
Goodell added that he excepts to have decision on a partner by this fall. DirecTV has carried Sunday Ticket since its 1994.
Apple, Disney and Amazon Prime hav each made offers to take over the service.

Amazon Prime Video, which already became the NFL’s broadcast partner for Thursday Night Football, holds a 21 percent market share. Disney+ holds a 14 percent market share, and the company has an existing relationship with the NFL through Monday Night Football.
