Aaron Rodgers Had The Perfect Response To Davante Adams Saying Derek Carr Was A Hall Of Fame QB

Last week, Davante Adams raised some eyebrows when he said going from Aaron Rodgers to Derek Carr was like “going from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer.”

Adams was asked about this week and took the oppurtunity to clarify that he misspoke, that he meant to say it WOULD be a difficult transition EVEN IF he was going from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer.

He was asked about it this week and took the opportunity to clarify that he misspoke, that he meant to say that it *would* be a difficult transition *even if* he was going from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer.

Here’s the clip of Adams clarifying:

But that clarification didn’t stop Rodgers from today poking some fun at Adams when he was asked about the transition from Davante Adams to Allen Lazard.

“I mean it’s always tough going from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer,” said Rodgers, drawing laughter from the media on hand. “From Davante to Allen, it’s gonna be a transition, but he’s capable of a lot.”

The smile says it all by Rodgers. Everyone gets the reference and the tongue-in-cheek delivery of it. This is clearly all in good fun and I’m sure Adams will laugh about it. Probably shoot his old pal Aaron a text.

The two had a lot of success together over the past eight seasons in Green Bay and it’s doubtful there’s any bad blood between them.

Touche, Aaron. Well played.
