It Took Just Two Passes From Mitch Trubisky For Steelers Fans To Call For Him To Get Benched

Mitch Trubisky’s time as the starting quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers may be over before it even begins if Steelers fans have their way.

Mitch Trubisky got his first taste of public razzing from the fan base after he tossed two incompletions on his first two throws at training camp as the Steelers first-string quarterback. One fan close to the field at Saint Vincent College very clearly yelled, “Get Pickett in there!”

Getting Pickett in there wasn’t any better.

The Pitt product and first-round draft choice worked with the third team. He threw an interception on the last play of practice.

Trubisky signed a two-year deal with the Steelers this offseason. He hasn’t started since he was with the Chicago Bears during the 2020 season. He finished that year with 16 touchdowns and eight interceptions while throwing for 2,055 yards.
