Saquon Barkley Lays Out Defender With Epic Truck Stick During Giants Training Camp Practice

If the New York Giants have any hope of being a good football team in 2022, they are going to need plays like this from Saquon Barkley.

During Monday’s training camp practice, Barkley took a handoff and turned up field. Moments later, he was met by cornerback Aaron Robinson and Barkley lowered his shoulder and send the defensive back flying back.

It was a chippy practice and reports out of Giants camp was that this play is what led to the infamous skirmish that occurred later that day involving Giants offensive line coach Bobby Johnson.

Nonetheless, if you’re a Giants fan — or someone that drafted Barkley in fantasy football — you gotta be happy to see the former Penn State product starting to look like his old self.

Barkley is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is aiming to rekindle some of that magic he had earlier in his career. Barkley missed the entire 2020 season with a torn ACL and dealt with ankle issues in 2021.
