Panthers QB Matt Corral Suffered A Season-Ending Injury vs Patriots

Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Corral’s rookie season is over before it even began.

The third-round pick out of Ole Mis suffered a foot injury that is likely to end his 2022 season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapport:

Corral wasn’t expected to compete with veterans Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold for the starting job this year, but this is still a bump in the road of his development as a rookie.

Now Corral’s rookie season will consist of rehabbing and setting his sights on a comeback next season.
