Dolphins Cancel Final Day Of Joint Practice With Eagles After Several Players Come Down With Illness

The Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins were scheduled to have two days of joint practices in Miami ahead of their preseason game on Saturday but that has been halted.

The Dolphins announced on Thursday morning that the second day of joint practices between the two teams has been cancelled. They added that they will meet virtually instead of working on the field “out of an abundance of caution as a result of a non-COVID illness.”

The #Dolphins cross-checked what players have eaten and don’t see a common thread there. They’re confident it’s a bug, which is why they canceled today’s practice to stop the spread. No concerns at this point about Saturday’s game with the #Eagles.

Meanwhile the Eagles announced that they will hold an ‘intra-team’ practice today at the Dolphins facility:

The Eagles will hold an intrateam practice today at the Dolphins facility. No members of the travel party have presented symptoms to date. After communication with their counterparts at the Dolphins, team medical officials are confident the team is in a good place to practice.
