Carolina Panthers Fire Head Coach Matt Rhule

Rhule is out in Carolina.

After a tumultuous 11-27 in 2.25 seasons as head coach of the Panthers, Rhule has been fired.

Panthers fired HC Matt Rhule, who has gone 11-27 during his three seasons in Carolina.

Rhule leaves Carolina with four years left on the seven-year contract he received from Panthers’ owner David Tepper in January 2020.

Rhule was hired as coach after a successful stint at Baylor, but failed in any realm of quarterback development with a carousel of QBs, from Teddy Bridgewater to Cam Newton to Sam Darnold, and now Baker Mayfield.

Rhule’s last game came as a 37-15, booed-filled loss to the 49ers at home on Sunday.
