It’s going to be a rough offseason for Eli Apple and the Apple family.
Following the Bengals win in the AFC Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills, Eli Apple took to Twitter to trash talk the Buffalo Bills. He threw shade at Stefon Diggs and even took a swipe at Damar Hamlin and his signature ‘heart gesture.’
Well, it all came crashing down for Eli Apple as the Bengals season came to an end thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. To make matters worse, Apple was getting worked all night long by Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who hauled in six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Apple was also flagged for a penalty late in the game. It was a rough one.. so rough that Eli Apple’s mom, Annie Apple decided to delete Twitter to avoid the noise that was coming her and her son’s way:
