A Large Fire Broke Out Near Parking Lot Outside Arrowhead Stadium After Chiefs Won AFC Title Game

Following the Chiefs 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, a grass fire broke out right outside Arrowhead Stadium.

The fire started at Gate 6 of the Truman Sports Complex, which includes both Arrowhead and the Royals’ Kauffman Stadium. The KCFD (Kansas City Fire Dept) was working to extinguish the flames, as through traffic was exiting the stadium.

Authorities believe fireworks from the game may have caused that grass fire, however they have not determined an exact cause.
