REPORT: Chargers Are “Most Likely” Going To Release WR Keenan Allen

The Los Angeles Chargers are currently $23.4 million over the salary cap and have some tough decisions to make this offseason.

According to Daniel R. Popper of The Athletic, the Chargers are “most likely” going to release WR Keenan Allen and TE Gerald Everett as the team looks to free up space:

LAC can save $14.8 million in cap space by releasing Allen and $4.25 million by cutting Everett.

Allen has been the Justin Herbert’s WR1 but has dealt with his share of injuries throughout his career.
