Andy Reid wanted his team dialed in and focused on winning a Super Bowl and wasn’t going to let anyone come between the Chiefs and winning the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday.
Not even Rihanna.
Patrick Mahomes revealed that the Chiefs head coach was adamant that none of his players sneak out of the locker room to go watch Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show and if they did, they would be benched.
“Coach Reid told us — he said if you go out to watch the performance, just keep walking,” Mahomes said, “because you’re not playing the rest of the game.”

The Chiefs were trailing 24-14 at halftime to the Philadelphia Eagles and were able to overcome the deficit to win Super Bowl LVII.
