REPORT: Aaron Jones Takes A Paycut To Remain With Green Bay Packers

Aaron Jones really didn’t want to leave Green Bay.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday morning the Packers and Jones agreed on a reduced salary of $11 million this season, per agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Aaron Jones still will have two years remaining on his contract with the Packers, but this year has been adjusted. Including this season, Jones now will have made $31 million since 2021, the most for any running back other than Christian McCaffrey.

The Packers running back was set to make $16 million non-guaranteed in 2022. Jones remains under contract for next season at $12 million, which wasn’t touched in the new agreement.

Jones is coming off a season where he rushed for 1,121 yards and two touchdowns.
